1. I’ve joined Absolute Poker. How do I choose the game I want to play?

After loading our software, you’ll see a list of available tables in the Main Lobby.  You can scroll through the rows to find the game that’s right for you. Simply double-click on a table to be taken to the game.

2. What is the minimum buy-in?

The minimum buy-in at any Absolute Poker table is 10 times the amount of the lower betting limit in fixed games, and 40 times the big blind in pot-limit and no-limit games. For example, the minimum buy-in for a 10/20 fixed game is 100, and the minimum buy-in in 1.00/2.00 Pot Limit game is 40.00.

3. Can I change seats at a table?

You can change seats, but it is not recommended in online poker. If you change seats, you will be required to post the blinds again, just like a new poker player.  This policy prevents players from changing seats to avoid paying blinds.

4. What does "game number" mean?

Every hand played is given a unique game number. You can use the game number (also known as a “hand number") when requesting hand histories or if an issue occurs with a specific game and you wish to review a report. If there is ever a question or a problem with a particular game, please note the game number and refer to it when contacting us. If you ever miss a game number after another game has already started, check under "Previous Game" at the top right corner of the screen.

5. The online poker game I want to play in is full. What should I do?

If the table you wish to play at is full, then you can easily join the waiting list for that table. When a seat becomes available, and you are the first player in line for a seat, you will be taken directly to that seat. The buy-in window will appear and all you’ll have to do is decide how many chips you’d like to take to the table. No other player will be allowed to sit at that seat while you make your decision, but you’ll need to make your decision within a limited time frame. If you do not decide within the designated time frame, the seat will be made available to other players.

Also, if there are several players on the waiting list for a specific table, we recommend joining the waiting list for any seat that becomes available for the same limit and game. This will get you to an open seat faster.

6. What happens when I run out of chips at a table?

You may replenish your chips up to three times per hour. To bring additional chips to the table, simply click on the "Menu" button and select "Cashier".

7. How can I tell how much money is in the pot?

The amount in the pot is displayed on the top of the table.

8. Can I put my own image on Absolute Poker?

You can customize your Absolute Poker experience by adding an avatar. Select “Change Image” under the “User” tab In the Main Lobby. Follow the step-by-step instructions to personalize your image at our tables.

9. How do I access my playing statistics? What information do I get?

While we are aware that many of our players reside in countries where English is not the official language, we must designate one language as the official language of our chat rooms. This is the best way to make our chat function both friendly and transparent.

Please note that obscene or offensive language is prohibited in our chat client. If a player cannot refrain from using abusive or obscene language, Absolute Poker reserves the right to suspend or revoke chat privileges and terminate the offending poker account.

10. What should I do if my game freezes or I lose my internet connection?

Most internet disconnections are beyond our control and difficult to diagnose. Absolute Poker’s state-of-the-art software will attempt to re-connect and ultimately return players back to the same table where they were last seated.  If you are disconnected and have the winning hand, you will win the main pot of that game.
