Before you can take your seat at our tables, you’ll need to supply a minimum buy-in that is equal to ten times the table’s small bet. Our $1/2 minimum bet games have a $10 minimum buy-in. No maximum applies at tables with betting limits.
Our No Limit and Pot Limit Tables have a minimum buy-in of 40 times the amount of the big blind. The maximum amount you can bring to our No Limit and Pot Limit Tables is 200 times the big blind. At a $2 No Limit game, the minimum that you may sit down with is $80 and the maximum is $400.
When a player adds their entire remaining chips to the pot, the player is considered to have gone “all-in.” Players who go “all-in” are ineligible to win any cash wagered above their final bet. After a player goes “all-in,” other players at the table who wish to wager will contribute to a side pot, rather than the main pot. There is no limit to the number of side pots in a game. Players will have a stake only in pots to which they have contributed.
At our fixed-limit games, players have 25 seconds to act. The system will issue a reminder in the chat window when there are 15 seconds left to act. Should a disconnection occur, the player will receive an additional 10 seconds to act, if the player returns before timing out.
The system will automatically fold the hands of players who fail to act within the designated time while connected.
Server crashes are uncommon, but like all good boy scouts we’re always prepared. If our servers go down, then online poker games will be cancelled and players who have chips at the table or in play will have their chips returned. We apologize to players who presume they would have had a winning hand.
Depending on the configuration of your computer, you can play at up to 14 tables at once! To ensure trouble-free gameplay, please make sure your machine has either 2 GB of RAM for Vista or 1 GB RAM if you use Windows XP when playing at multiple tables. Players are responsible for determining whether their systems support simultaneous play. Please contact techsupport@absolutepoker.net for an upgrade to your account to play on u to 20 tables or for general technical assistance.
Our play chip Hold’em tables do not allow for antes to be made. However, we offer Seven Card Stud, which uses antes rather than blinds. In this game, each player must put an ante (a forced bet) into the pot before each player is dealt cards. The limit of the game dictates the amount of the ante. Most times, an ante is between five and ten percent of the games large bet. For example, if you are playing $5/$10 Seven Card Stud, the ante most likely would be one dollar.
