Absolute Poker’s Trishelle Cannatella to Co-Host Reno Charity Poker Tournament

Celebrity endorser for Absolute Poker hits Reno along with Team AP pros Matt Vengrin and Lacey Jones

Miami, FL (Marketwire) March 22, 2010 – Absolute Poker’s Trishelle Cannatella has signed on as co-host of the V Foundation Charity Poker Tournament, a 2-day event set to begin on March 24th in Reno, Nevada. The majority of the funds raised through the $200+30 rebuy poker tournament will be donated to the V Foundation for cancer research.

The two-day event set to get underway on March 24th in Reno, Nevada features a charity poker tournament, silent auction, private dinner and a “Take It Downhill” Poker Pro Ski Challenge. Matt Vengrin and Lacey Jones, two pros on Team AP, Absolute Poker’s roster of professional poker players, will also be playing.

Joining them will be a number of celebrities from sports and entertainment including baseball all-star Jose Canseco and actor Mekhi Phifer. The event, which is sponsored by Absolute Poker’s sister site, UB.com, will also feature a number of big name poker pros, many of whom play on the CEREUS Poker Network.

Cannatella is no stranger to supporting charity through poker. In early February, she outlasted a field of 60 players to take the title in a $1,000+70 poker tournament in support of the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Trishelle Cannatella is Absolute Poker’s celebrity endorser and a rising star on the world poker circuit, both online and off. Earlier this month, Cannatella won $20,000 for a third place finish in the WPT Celebrity Invitational. Most recently, Trishelle Cannatella took down a7k Guaranteed tournament on Absolute Poker, beating out just under 200 people to claim $3,080.

Prior to joining the popular online poker site, Cannatella had appeared on several popular reality TV series, movies, dramas and specials including MTV’s “The Real World,” “Punk’d,” “Fear Factor,” “Criminal Minds,” “The Hillz,” “The Dukes of Hazard: The Beginning,” “The Surreal Life,” “Playboy: Girls of Reality TV” and several others.
