Beauty is ‘Skin’ Deep at Absolute Poker, Where the Recent Table Skin Design Competition saw the World of Design Meet Online Poker 

The leading online poker site has awarded $1,000 cash and a VIP Las Vegas package to the design guru judged the best entrant in the Table Skin Design Contest.

Miami, FL (Marketwire), Monday, June 21, 2010 – Absolute Poker’s Table Skin Design Contest has been run and won, with JUSTIN749 picking up top honors at Absolute Poker respectively for their inspired entries. The pair of design enthusiasts proved they have the creative flare and talent that stands out from the pack; each of their table skin designs will be featured at the online poker room, and the competition winner pockets $1,000 in cash, plus a VIP travel package for Las Vegas to hang with the cool poker crowd during the World Series of Poker* (“WSOP*”).

Absolute Poker’s winner JUSTIN749, a 32 year-old entrepreneur and poker player from Miami, Florida, drew inspiration from the works of master Michelangelo.

“When I saw the Poker Table Skin Design Contest I knew it was for me. I put long hours and hard work into creating these skins, but to have it pay off like this is a dream come true,” said JUSTIN749. “I am very proud to have something I worked on get recognized by Absolute, and honored to have my skin on the site for everyone to use if they wish. Thanks to Absolute Poker for having great promotions that are like no other, and now I am really pumped to go to Vegas to represent AP.”

The winning designer has received a prize package that includes airfare for two to Las Vegas during the WSOP*, 4 nights accommodation, $1K in spending money, invitation to an exclusive VIP party on the 33rd floor of the Mandarin Hotel, plus the winning table skin will be featured at Absolute Poker.

The Table Skin Design Contest was the perfect challenge for graphic designers, artists and students. Competition entries were required to be creative, appropriate and respectful of the brand’s logos, visually pleasing to poker players, and flexible enough to be used on all table formats, be they ring games, multi-table tournaments, heads-up or short-handed.
